Wendy and I were quite impressed with this camp. It is set approximately half a mile from a year round county road. We snowshoed in and actually enjoyed the walk which did not seem too far. The cabin is set in a nicely wooded area and there was deer and wildlife sign everywhere we looked. We pretty much followed the deer tracks right to the front door. The location of the property is great. We passed at least four public access sites to area rivers (and Lake Superior) on our way within ten minutes of the front door. Grocery is approximately 10 minutes away and there is also a bar at the same location. We were quite impressed with the rustic features of this cabin. The door and latch a very unique and the built-ins were a nice touch. The loft was also a neat feature. It was on the small side, but very useable, especially for kids to sleep in. All in all this is a great UP retreat. It is very affordable (owner financing available), located in a remote area with all sorts of outdoor opportunities, and well built.
